Black Ops 3 Controller Vs Mouse and Keyboard

Hello Dredd,

Thanks for coming to the forums. This isn't just up to Microsoft. The developers need to allow keyboard and mouse play also. So it is all dependent on the developers of the games. As the keyboard and mouse function is relatively new still, to create a list would take a lot of time. As there is tons of different keyboards and mouse out there. They may recommend a few different ones but for a full list not sure that will happen.

No , I already have a keyboard that works, or is said to work the corsair K 95 and mouse. however there are some adapters that say they work yet you run to the people that say they don't work.  I'm looking for a full proof one that actually works and allows me to use the keyboard and the mouse with the Xbox One.

 I have been told that call of duty black ops four works with such adapters however it's not on the list as having the developers authorize it.

Thanks for reaching out. In reference to your question, we unfortunately do not have a list of game with the compatibility. Xbox supports the use of mouse and keyboard in some games and apps, but it doesn't work for every game or app. The game or app publisher must enable this feature for their content.

The use of an adapter to use mouse and keyboard on a game that does not officially support it on xbox could be classed as a form of cheating as you would be matchmaking with people using a controller and if you are using a mouse and keyboard you would have an unfair advantage

Ok, so firstly you should be able to just plug in the mouse/keyboard USB and use it (if they are supported) you shouln't need an adapter to use mouse and keyboard on Xbox One since mouse and keyboard support has been added.

Secondly I'm not aware of black ops 4 supporting mouse and keyboard use on console, so if the developers have not enabled mouse and keyboard support on Xbox One, then using an adapter to be able to use your mouse and keyboard will be considered cheating.

Nope, already tried just plugging it into the box,  no go.... the Keyboard works slightly, and the ouse not at all.  There are a few adapters out there, Keymander, Cronus Max, XIM 4 for example as well and others are just adapter that just maps keys.  And now that Microsoft has authorized it and DEVS have enabled it, the "cheating" title is gone for good, you simply cannot pick and choose what would be considered cheating and what is NOT.

I have been computer gaming since 1987 on a keyboard, and it just feels more natural, there are kids online nowadays that will beat anyone with a Gamepad, and the sheer numbers on the gamepads greatly outweigh the keyboard users, and now that the DEVS are authorizing it with updates, all of them will do it, as they want to increase the base playing their games, that is the bottom line. I am sure to say the keyboards in gaming are here to stay.

As you already been told it is upto the developers

Verified by who?

You do know that unauthorized hardware isnt permitted on game servers right?

This is not upto the xbox pet team

But the developers own enforcement team

And yes they have their own policies

And yes mouse and keyboard has to be enabled on their servers not just xbox

Just because a few games support it doednt meant all games support it

You are assuming that A patchwork solutions work all the time WITHOUT developer support

You are going to get no support on NON SUPPORTED solutions

You will have to wait for offical support or face the consequences

Third party mods do violate individual server policies you will have to wait fill the service is offically supported on the said game

What you are relyingion is hearsay without the developer input

What you should be doing is asking the developer when the support is coming

Since SUPPORT

General support not GAME SUPPORT

For ingame support you will need to post in the game support section of the actual game

If you have issues with the said 3rd party mod you also have to get support from them since its not a supported mod

An offical support wouldnt need a mod to operate

And no just because other games support it doesnt mean its supported onall games or legal to use in their server
